Crow and Gull Attack the Pope's Doves
Crow and Gull Attack the Pope's Doves
(Aquarius Sun Square Saturn in Scorpio)
The wind howls all around the house tonight
while images flicker on the screen—everyone is rebelling!
Orthodox Jews, refusing to serve in the Israeli army,
dance like black-garbed crows,
waving hands in the air like gleeful children,
as state thugs on horseback beat them to the ground;
Chechens saying nyet to Putin,
willing to burn down their cities for freedom;
Bosnian workers fed up—
not enough bread to feed their families;
Tunisia’s constitution includes
protection of the earth.
The UN blasts the Vatican
for shielding predatory priests,
for failing to protect children;
social media explodes with women
speaking out against the men
who stole their innocence.
I open a window, marvel at the fierce wind
blowing in from the sea, where, to the west,
waves are flooding Brittany and England,
the air so warm you could float on it.
Freedom is in the air
and it is thrilling.
Even high above and beyond, the planets
are doing the same dance—take back your authority!
Claim the power stolen by the priests,
the pedophiles, thugs, tyrants, users,
warmongers, thieves, despoilers of the earth—
it never did belong to them. It is yours.

I got chills reading this. Powerful!!!
Yes, take back our earth, our children, our rights and our wonder. Let our innocence return to it's rightful position here and in the galaxies. Let beauty reign once again.
And loveā¦.

Joanne,
Thank you so much for your response. From your mouth to their ears: let beauty reign once again.
Much love,
Kaaren
Wow-- powerful! A beautiful declaration. It's brilliant how you brought so much together in one poem-- concise and robust. Love it. Love, Cassandra
p.s. The images are gorgeous!
We have taken back the authority to dictate our future and how we want to live and share life and it looks comfortable, communal, healthy and full of creative expression. We saw the Alexander Calder mobile/stabile show at LACMA last weekend and I wanted to scream with joy at how exceptionally brilliant this leader of our contemporary art history was and still is today. Paintings in air, moved by a breeze! If life could always be this lyrical and beautiful the rest of the world's madness would fall away and be washed down the drain. Love you dear sister Kaaren and brother Richard.
Chere Cassandra,
Thank you so much for this! There's revolution in the air, isn't there? About time!
Much love,
Kaaren & Richard
Jonny!
We love Alexander Calder, too. His work reminds me of your spirit. Wish we could have seen this show at LACMA with you and Leatrice.
The world's madness would fall away if everyone had the attitude towards life that you have.
Much love,
Kaaren & Richard
